I wake up without the creases.

I'm 51 and I've always slept on my side, so I'd get up with deep pillow lines down one cheek that used to fade by breakfast and lately just… didn't. I almost didn't bother, because it's a pillowcase, not a serum, and I've wasted enough money on miracle fixes. First morning, no marks. And I'm not waking at 3am hot and damp the way I did on cotton.

The fabric

What is TENCEL™ Lyocell?

TENCEL™ Lyocell is a fibre spun from wood pulp — eucalyptus, beech and spruce grown in certified and controlled forests — in a closed-loop process that captures the water and solvent and puts them back to work instead of discharging them.

What matters against your face is the fibre itself. It's smooth and round in cross-section, so skin glides over it rather than dragging. And it handles moisture the opposite way to silk: rather than repelling it, lyocell draws moisture into the core of the fibre and releases it — so the surface against your cheek doesn't stay damp when you run warm in the night.

The science

Sleep wrinkles are a different kind of wrinkle.

They come from compression and shear — your face pressed and dragged against fabric for hours — not from muscle movement, which is why muscle-relaxing injectables don't address them. And as skin loses its elastic recall, the crease that used to fade by breakfast stops bouncing back at all.

Frequently asked questions

We've got answers

Everything you wanted to know about what your face sleeps on.

What actually is a sleep wrinkle?

A different mechanism from expression lines.

Expression lines come from muscle movement. Sleep wrinkles come from compression and shear — your face pressed into a pillow and dragged across it as you turn, for hours at a time. Because no muscle is involved, muscle-relaxing injectables don't address them.

It's not a small exposure: 69% of adults sleep on their side or front, and only 19% on their back. That's one side of the face carrying the load, night after night. And the older we get, the less we move in the night — so the same crease is held for longer.

Why TENCEL™ Lyocell and not silk?

Because they stay dry in opposite ways.

Silk stays dry by not absorbing. Lyocell stays dry by absorbing moisture into the fibre core and releasing it — the fibrils move moisture away so the space between your skin and the fabric doesn't stay damp.

For anyone who runs hot at night, that difference matters. Silk saturates and then stays wet against your face. Lyocell keeps moving it. It also holds less surface moisture than cotton or polyester, which makes for a less favourable environment for bacterial growth — and unlike silk, you can wash it without ceremony.

I get night sweats. Will this help?

This is what the fibre is genuinely good at.

Up to 80% of women experience night sweats and hot flushes during the menopausal transition, with a median duration of 7.4 years. We can't stop those — nothing you sleep on can.

What a breathable, moisture-moving surface can do is stop your pillow becoming the damp, hot part of the problem. Cotton absorbs and holds. Lyocell moves moisture into the fibre and releases it, so the surface against your cheek recovers instead of staying wet.

I spend a lot on serums. Will this soak them up?

Honest answer: lyocell is absorbent — and that's the point.

You'll see other brands claim their fabric "doesn't absorb your skincare". We're not going to tell you that, because TENCEL™ Lyocell absorbs more moisture than cotton, not less.

What it absorbs is moisture, into the core of the fibre, where it's held away from the surface. The fix is the same one dermatologists give anyway: put your routine on, give it a few minutes to sink in, then get into bed. What you don't want is a fabric that sits wet against skin all night — and that's exactly what this avoids.

What comes in a set?

One set is two pillowcases.

Every set is a pair — one to sleep on, one in the wash. You choose the colour for each set, so a two-set order can be two different colours if you want them.

  • 1 Set — 2 pillowcases
  • 2 Sets — 4 pillowcases
  • 3 Sets — 6 pillowcases

Available in White, Blue, Green and Grey.

Will I notice anything the first night?

The sheet marks are the tell.

Most people notice the same thing on the first morning: fewer of the deep creases a cotton pillowcase leaves down one cheek. That's the friction and compression story working in real time, and it's the one thing here you can check for yourself overnight rather than in eight weeks.

It matters more with age. Skin loses its elastic recall over time — the crease that used to be gone by breakfast at 30 is still sitting there at lunch at 55.

What if I don't get on with it?

60 nights, then decide.

Sleep on it for 60 nights. If you don't want it on your bed after that, send it back and we'll refund you in full — no need to return it unused, and no questions about why.

It's a pillowcase. The only way to judge it is to actually sleep on it.

I'm 51 — this turned back the clock

I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Left is before, right is six weeks of using this every night. I'm 51 and I haven't seen my skin look this firm and bright since my late thirties. The under-eye area is what shocked me — less hollow, less shadow, plumper. My friends keep asking what I had done. The answer is nothing, just this mask. Wish I had found it ten years ago.
